Moissac, then and now ... interactive version!

After splitting images between past and present in Moissac, I thought it could be interesting to blend images ... just hover your mouse above the pictures and you will see them turn black and white as they were 100 years ago!

Saint Jacques ... Now and Then ...

The area, where the city walls used to stand, has remained quite the same as it was a hundred years ago.
The bush that grew at the balcony in 1910 still remains in the same shape as it was back then!

Rue Malaveille (Porte Malaveille) ... Now and Then ...

The street (formerly Porte Mallereille) used to be, like all the main medieval streets in Moissac, a very busy one. There are still many shops now, but quite a number have closed down since the crisis hit the town.
While carriages and carts flourished 100 years ago, cars have now taken their place.

My daughter used to enjoy watching the planes passing by ... here with MSN055 (for Qantas), during the summer 2010.

Airbus A350 XWB in "Qatar Launch Customer" colours

The 4th A350-900 (MSN4 - F-WZNW) has partly been painted with Qatar Airways colours to remind us they are the launch customer ... was there actually any need for it?
In the background is MSN2 (F-WWCF) with a "Carbon Fiber" colour scheme.

A view of the flood at Toulouse

The river reached its highest (3,78m) level since 2004. Thankfully, it only lasted for a couple of hours before the water went down.

Back from school

Kids are quite unconscious of the danger ... trucks, vans and cars drive at high speed and don't really care of those poor children cylcing back from school ...
